PREVIEW: Flyers Would Be Wise to be Proactive in Defensive Acquisition

The hits keep on coming for the Flyers, most notably within their defense. Chris Pronger, Andreas Lilja, Erik Gustafsson, and Oskars Bartulis have all been sidelined by injury--Pronger for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs. The promotion of Marc-Andre Bourdon and Kevin Marshall to the Flyers to fill in the void further thins the defensive ranks. While the common opinion seems to say that the Flyers should wait to make a move, I explore the possibility that waiting too long may actually prove to have disastrous results on the Flyers' season.
